CHIEF MORALE OFFICER

Riggs

Some might think it’s silly for a company to focus so much on a dog. Maybe it is. But if a company is built around the idea of Sonder—the belief that every person carries a life as complex and meaningful as your own—what better embodiment than a living, breathing creature who practices it every day?

Riggs is empathetic, nurturing, steady, and deeply caring. She has lived a full life—traveling to 48 states (most of them twice), visiting three countries, and joining adventures that include rappelling 300-foot cliffs, kayaking Class III rapids, running a marathon, backpacking week-long trips while carrying her own gear, and more.

But her greatest adventures are the quiet ones.

Riggs has brought joy and comfort to thousands—delivering mail to neighbors during COVID, sitting with strangers on park benches, being “borrowed” for an hour or a day by someone who needed love, or simply lying beside people when they didn’t feel like themselves.

Sonder is the realization that everyone’s life is as rich and important as your own. Riggs reminds us of that daily—by showing up with consistency, kindness, curiosity, and unconditional love.

Thank you, Riggs, for the reminder to be gentle, excited, and openhearted with everyone we meet.

Get started with Sonder, today.
